Travelling in Milan

Whether it's work, passion for fashion or love for design, there are more and more ideas for taking a train ride to Milan, the most international city in Italy.
For a day trip, the unmissable destinations of a visit to Milan are the Duomo with its Madonnina, the most famous symbol, Castello Sforzesco, the Church of Sant'Ambrogio, Piazza della Scala with its Teatro alla Scala, and the imposing Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.
From here with a few steps you arrive at the most famous department store in Italy, la Rinascente, and with just ten minutes on foot you can reach the Quadrilatero della Moda, the shopping area par excellence, which is enclosed in the four streets of via Montenapoleone, via Manzoni, via della Spiga and Corso Venezia.
In Milan, the design week every year attracts operators from all over the world and the districts of Brera and Tortona come alive with the events of the Fuori Salone showing the best of the Milanese nightlife.
To get to know the trendiest area of the city you have to go down to the Darsena and discover its famous Navigli (Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande).
But Milan is also art, where you can admire Leonardo da Vinci's masterpiece, the Last Supper, or visit the exhibitions at the Pinacoteca di Brera, the Triennale or the exhibitions at the Prada Foundation. The city of Meneghina, the engine of the country's economy and home to the stock exchange and the prestigious Bocconi University, also hosts the most important trade fairs and events in Europe, to be marked on the agenda: the Salone del Mobile, Milan Fashion Week or the Artigiano at the fair.
For a business trip you cannot miss a visit to the reborn Porta Nuova area, a project that has enriched the Milan skyline with new skyscrapers, including the Unicredit Tower and the award-winning Bosco Verticale.

Travelling in Pisa

Pisa is a city of culture, art and beauty known all over the world for its Leaning Tower. You can visit it entirely on foot and easily reach it by train. Pisa is located in Tuscany along the course of the Arno which divides it into two parts and has a mild climate thanks to the proximity of the sea. Over the years the city has preserved the splendor of an ancient past that has left several traces: from the Etruscan settlements to the Roman port, from the dominion of the Goths, the Lombards and the Carolingians to the period of splendor as a Maritime Republic in the eleventh century followed by a decline at the end of 1200 until the hegemony of Florence from the 15th century and to the De Medici family with the development of its famous University. The main reason for organizing your trip to Pisa are its wonderful monuments and it is suitable for any period of the year. Once reached by train, the first obligatory stop is Piazza dei Miracoli, a World Heritage Site since 1987. In it you can visit the Leaning Tower, the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, the Baptistery of San Giovanni and the Camposanto. The second important stop is Piazza dei Cavalieri where the so-called Torre della Fame is located and overlooked by the Church of Santo Stefano dei Cavalieri and the Palazzo della Carovana. Other stops, a walk on the Lungarni at sunset when the light is spectacular, on the Lungarno Mediceo where you will find beautiful noble palaces and the church of San Matteo in Soarta and on the Lungarno Gambacorti where you can admire the beautiful church of Santa Maria della Spina. It is therefore a small city, but full of surprises, which enchants with its eternal beauty and is perfect to visit even on a weekend. In summer, the heat is less stifling than in other cities in Tuscany and you can cool off for a few hours by the sea in Marina di Pisa and if you are between 15 and 16 June you can also participate in the Feast of San Ranieri, patron saint of the city. Spring, on the other hand, is the ideal period if you want to visit it on foot, while in autumn and winter you can dedicate yourself to visiting museums. During the Christmas period, in addition to the lights and the markets you can see the Santa Claus Factory, a place full of surprises for everyone. The typical dishes of the Pisan tradition that you can taste on this visit to the Tuscan city are: pappa col pomodoro, pappardelle with hare or wild boar sauce, eels with tomato and beans with chicken. Among the most popular street food in Pisa, try the famous lampredotto, a sandwich made with the stomach of a cow. Why wait? Book your Italo ticket to Pisa and start your journey now!
