Travel with your small pets for free

Small dogs, cats, and other pets are welcome on our trains!
With Italo, you can bring your small pets in a carrier at no extra charge and keep them with you throughout your journey.
All animals must remain inside the pet carrier for the entire duration of the journey, and only one pet carrier is permitted per passenger.

Travel by train with your medium or large-sized dog in a dedicated and comfortable space, without the need for a pet carrier

If your dog is medium or large-sized, or if you choose not to use a carrier, simply select "Dog" in the "Add Passengers" section when purchasing your ticket and conveniently add this service at an affordable price. On board the train, you will receive a comfortable mat for your dog, ensuring they can relax and travel alongside you in complete comfort. This service is available in Smart class and Prima Business class and with all Italo fares.
You can purchase the service on the Italo Treno website, through the Italo Treno app, at Italo ticket offices in the station, or by calling Pronto Italo at 060708. You must travel with your dog next to you, on a leash, and wearing a muzzle when boarding and disembarking from the train. The service is not available for tickets purchased with travel packs.
