Getting Around Caserta by Bus

The city’s main transport hub is undoubtedly the railway station. Since its inauguration in 1843, it has welcomed countless European nobles and royals on their way to the Royal Palace. Today, the station has six platforms and handles around 140 trains a day, including regional, national, and high-speed services.

From the station, the Royal Palace is just over a 5-minute walk away, while the historic center is about one kilometer. If you prefer, you can use Air Mobilità Caserta connections: there are 11 urban bus lines covering every corner of the city, operating from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm (with slight variations depending on the line).
A single-ride ticket costs €1.30.

The center of Caserta is a Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL), so driving is not recommended. Alternatively, a taxi service is available at +39 0823 233400.
